Madrid in Game launches the 6th edition of its startup accelerator with 58 new gaming ventures
The Start IN Up Program, Madrid in Game’s entrepreneurship accelerator for video game, eSports, and gamification startups, has kicked off its sixth edition, consolidating itself as one of the most ambitious initiatives of its kind worldwide. Since its launch in March 2023, the program has supported 157 startups, created 258 jobs, and attracted more than €10.5 million in public and private investment, reinforcing Madrid’s position as one of Europe’s leading hubs for digital innovation.
Over the next six months, 58 startups will develop their projects at the Development Center of Madrid’s Video Game Campus, supported by more than one hundred national and international mentors. This new edition —the most international to date— brings together companies from Ireland, Germany, Italy, and Ukraine, as well as teams from various Spanish regions. The selected startups cover a wide range of fields, from video game development to artificial intelligence, education, and virtual and augmented reality.
Ángel Niño, Madrid City Council’s Delegate for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, inaugurated the new edition by highlighting the program’s impact on talent generation and the creation of qualified jobs. Madrid in Game, an initiative of the Madrid City Council, continues to strengthen the city’s gaming and gamification ecosystem, offering state-of-the-art facilities, strategic guidance, and international visibility to emerging entrepreneurs in the industry.
