Madrid 2026 Showcases the Strength of Video Game Development in Madrid

The Cluster and Madrid in Game held the event Madrid 2026: A Driving Force for the Development and Launch of Video Games at the Video Game Campus. The event served to celebrate the release of Crisol: Theater of Idols by Vermila Studios and to highlight several video games currently being developed within the Start IN Up Program of Madrid in Game. The event, which was attended by the Councillor for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Ángel Niño, showcased the growth and potential of the companies and projects being developed at its Development Center.

Following the Madrid 2026: A Driving Force for the Development and Launch of Video Games event, several announcements were made confirming the strong momentum currently enjoyed by the studios accelerated through the program. One of these was Operation Highjump, the 2D war game by Mansion Games, which unveiled its physical editions and opened pre-orders in collaboration with Tesura Games. The title will be released on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, with both standard and collector’s editions—the latter featuring cover art illustrated by the legendary Alfonso Azpiri. The digital edition of the game will be published by JanduSoft.

Meanwhile, the cozy game Hidalgo, developed by Infinite Thread, was recognized as the Most Anticipated Game of 2026 at the DeVuego Awards, further consolidating its strong reception within the community. Finally, Red Mountain Games, creators of Alchemice, will take their project to the Game Developers Conference, where they will deliver a pitch after being invited by Xsolla. The studio will also release a demo of the game on March 3, a launch that reinforces the international projection of projects born within the Madrid in Game ecosystem.
