Madrid in Game strengthens its international positioning in London alongside European video game industry leaders

Madrid in Game has taken part as co-host in a strategic gathering held as part of the London Games Festival, one of the leading annual events for the video game industry in the United Kingdom. The meeting, held at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly, home of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, brought together international representatives from the sector in a setting designed to strengthen relationships, share perspectives on the evolution of the industry, and explore new opportunities for collaboration at a European level.

The gathering brought together more than thirty international executives, including founders, investors and C-level profiles, in a reduced-format event designed to encourage dialogue, knowledge exchange and the creation of high-value connections. During the session, and together with Daniel Cervantes, Vice President EMEA at IDG Intelligence and member of the Madrid Video Game Cluster, the city had the opportunity to share the evolution of its ecosystem, supported by data on growth, talent attraction and investment, thereby reinforcing its positioning as one of Europe’s emerging video game hubs.

This participation forms part of Madrid in Game’s internationalisation strategy, which in 2026 has also included its presence at other global industry forums, such as the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, where three studios linked to the Madrid ecosystem were recognised among the best in the world with the Best in Play award. Following its visit to London, the initiative continued its international agenda in Miami with its participation in eMerge Americas, where it developed a programme focused on generating business opportunities and strengthening Madrid’s international profile as a European hub for innovation and video games.
