Madrid became a European League of Legends capital once again with the LEC Roadtrip

Madrid hosted the LEC Roadtrip, one of the major events on the European League of Legends competitive calendar, bringing the final rounds of the spring season to the Madrid Arena. The competition once again placed the city at the heart of European eSports, with some of the continent’s top teams taking part, alongside the Spanish representation of Movistar KOI and GiantX.

Madrid in Game supported the event with a special programme under the “Madrid in LEC” concept, held both at the Video Game Campus and at the Madrid Arena. The Esports Center activated Riot Unlocked during the week, the Experience Center hosted a new edition of the Madrid in LEC Show, and an open 1v1 League of Legends tournament was also held with content creators.

The initiative also had its own stand at the Madrid Arena and deployed its mobile unit outside the venue, showcasing projects from studios and startups linked to its gaming accelerator. Through this programme, Madrid in Game brought the competition closer to the community and once again strengthened Madrid’s position as a strategic hub for eSports and the video game industry in Europe.
